1 Scope of application
This standard specifies requirements and tests for devices for counting the number of lightning pulses flowing in a conductor.
stipulate. This conductor may be part of a lightning protection system (LPS) or connected to an SPD installation or may be connected to a lightning protection system (LPS).
It may be another conductor that is not intended to conduct a significant portion of the current.
Remarks Lightning counters must be suitable for use even in hazardous environments. Install the component under these conditions.
Additional requirements should be taken into account when installing.
